Lifetime Limited Warranty
Horison Ltd. t/a Volvodiagnostic warrants only to the original purchaser of this product from a Volvodiagnostic-authorized reseller or distributor that the product will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service.
We reserve the right to inspect any damaged product before a warranty decision is made. All shipping costs for inspections are the responsibility of the purchaser. Claims must be made within 60 days of the issue, with valid proof of purchase.
If eligible, we will repair or replace the defective unit at our discretion. Retain your dated sales receipt — it is required for warranty service. The product must be used and handled according to provided instructions to remain under warranty.
Warranty Limitations
- Damage from accident, misuse, abuse, or negligence is not covered.
- Warranty applies only if the product is used with the original vehicle.
- Warranty is non-transferable. For third-party or pre-owned purchases, coverage is limited to 2 years.
- No coverage for parts damaged by improper installation, other failing parts, or modification.
- No warranty for off-road, racing, or competition use.
- No warranty if water damaged, water ingress repeats, or burnt due to external causes (e.g., overload from related modules).
- No warranty for altered parts or those used outside original design/application.
- Warranty does not cover labour, time, materials, lost wages, towing, or storage fees.
- No returns are accepted for pre-programmed units.
- Software transfer services and discounted/"as is" items are not covered.
- Bulbs are excluded from warranty — you may remove them before sending parts in.
- This warranty does not affect any legal rights you may have by law.
- Lifetime warranty applies to orders placed after 01/04/2016. Prior orders have 2-year coverage.
Software Transfer & Testing Policy
Software transfer services apply only to the software — hardware is not covered, and the original unit will not be returned. No refunds are issued for software services due to their digital nature.
If your part is found non-repairable, a test fee of £30 will be deducted before refunding, as this covers technician time spent working on the unit. If the returned core is beyond repair, deposits are non-refundable.
Communication Policy
To provide the most accurate and traceable support, all communications must be handled via email only.
- No technical advice, order updates, or quotations are provided over the phone.
- We do not offer free phone consultations, recommendations, or support.
- We are no longer a one-person operation — our technicians are not available for phone calls while reviewing wiring diagrams or diagnosing issues.
- Email ensures your case history is tracked, documented, and responded to properly.
- Phone conversations cannot offer the precision and documentation necessary for accurate service.
