IGM (Inverter Generator Module) – Repair & Testing Service

The IGM (Inverter Generator Module) controls power flow between the hybrid front axle drive (HyFAD), the high voltage battery, and the 12V system. It also replaces the function of a conventional alternator. A failed IGM typically results in hybrid shutdown, loss of drive, and multiple fault codes across the ECM and BECM.

Common Symptoms

  • - Hybrid warning light, failsafe mode or no start
  • - High voltage or 12V battery not charging
  • - Loss of power from HyFAD
  • - Multiple fault codes across ECM and BECM
